The 12 day South India – A Living Heritage itinerary would take you in the following cities & villages of Cochin, Bioson Valley, Munnar, Munroe Island, Kollam, Chittar, & Trivandrum.

Our major Highlights would be as below:

  • A stay in an Eco-friendly home stay in Kerala, created on the principles of sustainability and responsibility.
  • We would also go for a day tour of Munnar, a nature-Lover’s Paradise.
  •  No South India experience is complete without staying in a luxury Houseboat in Kollam where one would enjoy a typical Kerala experience.
  • Finally, we would stay at a beautiful resort in Tamil Nadu spread over hundreds of acres of greenery, and seclusion.

Itinerary

Arrival / Cochin

Day 1 : Arrival / Cochin

Late night arrival. Meeting and assistance upon arrival as our representatives welcome you and escort you to your car.

Whilst the room keys and check-in is organized, our representative would introduce the tour to you and hand over the documents to you.

Welcome to India, or as we say ‘atithi devo bhava’ (the guest is an incarnation of God). Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you!

Upon Arrival check into The Secret Garden Resort,

Morning, we will proceed on a guided tour of Cochin.

Day 3 : Cochin / Dewalokam (66 Kms) (01 ½ Hrs Drive)

Following breakfast, we will drive to Dewalokam

Upon arrival we will make our way to our Hotel, Dewalokam.

After little refreshments, we will visit the organic farm of Dewalokam (guided)

Following a little downtime, we will participate with the chef and undertake a cooking lesson.

Day 4 : Dewalokam

Following breakfast we will undertake a walk through the forested areas that surround your resort.

For the adventurist, we can also indulge ourselves in some soft adventure of Bamboo Rafting.

Following lunch, we will ride on a public bus for a short Village walk.

In the evening (at leisure) you may choose to book yourself into regular Ayurvedic massages and treatments. The resort has well appointed Ayurveda center.

Day 5 : Dewalokam / Munnar (100 Kms) (02 ½ Hrs Drive)

Morning optional biking experiences available to visit the local forest and villages.

Following breakfast, we will visit the local village.

Later, we will drive to the Munnar through the scenically vibrant valley of the Cardamom Hills.

On arrival check into Spice Tree Resort.

Afternoon we will visit the Anayirangal Dam, surrounded by the evergreen forests.

Later, we will visit the remnants of the stone-age, just to the right of the Resort.
